Guidelines on occupational health and safety and environmental protection
Occupational health and safety and environmental protection are not just important to us, they are, in fact, an integral part of our corporate philosophy.

Occupational health and safety and environmental protection are a top priority at all of our locations. For this reason, we conform to the following guidelines:
Responsibility for individuals and the environment
Each and every employee is responsible for occupational health and safety and environmental protection, not just individuals. Once hazards are detected and evaluated, appropriate measures are taken to eliminate them. With the help of on-going training and development, we are raising awareness of the need to act responsibly.
Responsibility for our products
We are aware of the responsibility we have with regard to:
- Our customers
- Our employees
- The environment
During our work, we make use of all the technical options available to us in order to keep any negative impact on individuals and the environment at a minimum.
On-going improvement and documentation
We monitor our processes and behaviour on a regular basis so that we can identify weaknesses and make improvements. The documentation regarding the measures we implement complies with the applicable legal requirements and our management system, which was designed in accordance with DIN EN ISI 9001:2008, DIN EN ISO 14001:2009 and BS OHSAS 18001:2007.
Safety
Our ultimate goal is to prevent all accidents in the workplace. We are therefore working continuously to improve our preventative programme for health and safety protection.
Preventing damage to the environment
HACH LANGE has a long history of caring for the environment. Through the implementation of appropriate technical and organisational measures, we are minimising the production of:
- Residues
- Waste
- Waste water
- Damaging emissions
Partners
We choose our partners carefully in accordance with our own standards. Our training concept means that our partners comply with the same environmental standards and guidelines for occupational health and safety as we do.
